Help for vulnerable patients to stay warm and well

Heating homes is pricey and contributes to carbon emissions, but living in cold conditions can be harmful to health. To help our vulnerable patients feel the benefit of living in warmer homes, the GMCA Energy Company Obligation Scheme 4 Flex (ECO4 Flex) scheme offers fully funded energy efficiency measures to eligible GM residents living in privately rented or owner-occupied energy inefficient housing.

The ECO4 Flex scheme enables NHS healthcare professionals, including Social Prescribing Link Workers, to refer residents with medical conditions which make them more vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home, including cardiovascular conditions, respiratory disease, limited mobility, and immunosuppression. Patients can also self-refer via the GMCA Retrofit Portal or by contacting the approved installers directly by telephone.
