From 1st April 2015 onwards GP Practices are required, under the General Medical Services (GMS) contract, to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients, including children.
It is important that you are aware that this is purely an administrative exercise and does not change the way in which we operate or affect your ability to make an appointment or speak with any of the GPs in the practice.
All patients at New Islington Medical Practice have been allocated to Dr W Ali who is responsible for patients’ overall care at the practice and is your named GP, however in the event that a patient expresses a wish to change their named GP we are happy to accommodate this request and would ask that you contact a member of our Reception Team who will be happy to arrange this for you.
All new patients joining the practice will be allocated at the time of registration.
Please note: If your registration with us was before 1st April 2015 and you were aged over 75 years or took part in the “Avoiding Unplanned Emergency Admissions” service provision you will have already been allocated a named accountable GP and notified - this named GP will remain the same and will not change.
